They love everything about each other and want to be together. They decide they want to get married. Unfortunately, Sol is diagnosed with terminal liver cancer, so they have an uphill battle. They decide they want to make the best of their time together before it runs out. Their family and friends do everything they can to help the couple have their dream wedding.
This tear-jerker is basically an updated version of Love Story. It is similar to Love Story because they are dealing with the obstacle of one of the pair dying. This drama is something that you can watch with your partner. The love story between Sol and Jennifer will definitely make you appreciate the relationship you have. If you aren’t in a relationship, it will make you wish you were in love the way Sol and Jennifer are in this drama. This might not be a movie that many men will want to watch without the women they love because they aren’t the target audience.
They could use this movie for inspiration on how to romance the special women in their lives. Men will score brownie points with their ladies if they watch this movie with them. The love story between Sol and Jennifer is romantic and their chemistry is explosive. They look great together and they are a couple you can see getting together. They are likable people that you will want to see make it together. There’s nothing cooler than comforting your partner as they watch Sol and Jennifer deal with his declining health. Harry Shum, Jr. and Jessica Rothe are a great looking couple. They are both attractive and are eye candy for women and men respectively.

This is the sequel to the hit movie Basic Instinct. Catherine (Sharon Stone) deals with another traumatic loss when she loses her boyfriend in a car crash. The police search her car and find illegal drugs. The prosecutor sends her to see a psychiatrist named Michael (David Morrissey). He realizes that she is a dangerous woman. Despite knowing that she is dangerous, he finds himself falling in love with her. He ends up having a relationship with her.
If you like the first movie, you can expect the same for this one. The only difference in this movie is Michael Douglas doesn’t appear in this movie. This movie has a lot of twists just like in the first one. There are enough red herrings to keep you guessing. You and your partner will have a great time trying to figure out who the killer is. The movie is very suspenseful and will have you wondering what is going on. The film features a lot of scenes between Catherine and Michael.
# 8 – Chasing Papi
The romantic comedy stars Rosalyn Sanchez, Eduardo Verastegui, Sophia Vergara and Jaci Velasquez. The comedy is about a player named Thomas (Eduardo Verastegui) who gets through life based on his looks and his charm. He juggles three women named Cici (Sophia Vergara), Lorena (Rosalyn Sanchez) and Patricia (Jaci Velasquez). The relationships spiral out of control which causes him to have a mental breakdown. His doctor suggests that he chooses one girlfriend. Will he be able to chose before they find out that he is seeing all three women?
The silly comedy will keep you in stitches. You will be amused watching Thomas juggle all three relationships without getting caught. The movie has a decent plot. It is not often that you see a man struggling to date three women. Men will enjoy watching Thomas get away with dating three women.
He got lucky because the three women he dates are beautiful as well. It’s no wonder he is torn among the three women. Eduardo Versategui looks like a model. He is tall, dark and handsome. He looks as if he could grace the covers of magazines. He could also be the star of women’s dreams. His beautiful eyes will hypnotize you. He has a muscular body that will make you drool. The women are no slouches. Rosalyn Sanchez, Sophia Vergara and Jaci Velasquez are all gorgeous. They all have voluptuous figures that will drive men crazy.
# 7 – How To Be Single
The romantic comedy stars Rebel Wilson, Dakota Johnson, Leslie Mann, Alison Brie, Anders Holm, Nicholas Braun and Damon Wayans Jr. The comedy is about woman named Alice (Dakota Johnson) who needs a break from her boyfriend Josh (Nicholas Braun). She decides to move to New York and become a paralegal. She meets Robin (Rebel Wilson). Robin helps Alice learn to loosen up. They go to parties and have one-night stands. Alice learns how to meet men and enjoy the single life.
This comedy has a decent plot. There isn’t much to expect with a plot like this. It is a movie about learning how to have fun and being single. It also teaches you to love yourself and let go of your inhibitions. The movie is never boring. There is always something going on in the film. This movie is the type of movie you can watch with your girlfriends. Men are not the target audience for this kind of movie. Alice goes on her journey to find someone to love. We get to see her with different people throughout the movie.
# 6 – Just Married
The romantic comedy stars Ashton Kutcher, Brittany Murphy and Christian Kane. The romantic comedy is about a couple named Tom (Ashton Kutcher) and Sarah (Brittany Murphy). They are a couple from two different worlds. He is an average guy while she is from a wealthy family. They fall in love and get married. After they get married, things take a turn for the worst. Everything that could possibly go wrong on their honeymoon does. On top of that, Sarah’s ex-boyfriend Peter (Christian Kane) shows up on their honeymoon so he can break up their marriage. Tom and Sarah end up arguing with each other during their honeymoon. Their arguing leaves the door open for Peter to get closer to Sarah.
# 5 – Sliver
The next movie on our 10 Best Movies On Cinemax list is Sliver. The thriller stars Sharon Stone, William Baldwin and Tom Berenger. The movie is about a book editor named Carly (Sharon Stone) who moves into a luxury apartment building. She finds out that a lot of female tenants died in the building. She finds herself falling in love with Zeke (William Baldwin). He is one of the suspects in the murders. The other suspect is a writer named Jack (Tom Berenger). Carly doesn’t know who to trust so she has to uncover the truth before it is too late.
This is a thriller with a lot of twists and turns. The writers did an excellent job placing red herrings in the movie. Just when you think you know who the killer is evidence proves that you might not be right. It is a guessing game until the killer is revealed. In addition to the intriguing and suspenseful mystery, there is a budding romance between Carly and Zeke. Carly and Zeke fall for each other instantly.
Adding to the spiciness of the relationship is the fact that Carly is having a relationship with a potential killer. Here is a fun fact about the movie. Sharon Stone and William Baldwin didn’t get along while they filmed the movie together. They were very professional because you would never know they didn’t get along while their characters had their love scenes. If you like a movie with twist endings, you should check out this flick.
# 4 – Something Borrowed
The romantic comedy stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson, Colin Egglesfield and John Krasinski. The comedy is about a woman named Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) who is a loyal friend. She ends up having an affair with the man of her dreams. She is in love with Dex (Colin Egglesfield). The problem is that he belongs with someone else. He is engaged to her best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson). Rachel and Dex’s affair could lead to the end of her friendship with Darcy. Darcy has a secret of her own that could destroy her relationship with Dex. Ethan (John Krasinski) has a secret that could rock Rachel’s world.
This movie is based on the book of the same name. The comedy has good writing and will keep you talking. It will have you debating on who is in the right between Rachel and Darcy. You and your friends will have a good time debating on who is wrong in the love triangle.
The writers will have you torn over who Dex should choose. You may hate Rachel for her decision to be with Dex, but she was following her heart. She had a crush on him when they were in law school together. They have an affair, but the intimate scenes aren’t graphic. They are tastefully done. They are done in a way to make it seem as if it’s romantic. The love triangle between Dex, Darcy and Rachel works because he has chemistry with both women.
# 3 – Freaky
The horror-comedy stars Vince Vaughn, Kathryn Newton, Melissa Collazo, Uriah Shelton and Celeste O’Connor. The movie is about a teenager named Millie (Kathryn Newton) who wants to survive high school. She has to deal with the popular crowd in high school. She gets attacked by the town’s serial killer. When he is about to kill her, they magically switch bodies. Millie turns into a killer. The maniac turns into a 17-year-old girl. She has 24 hours to get her identity back before she loses it forever.
The horror movie is unique. It is the horror version of Freaky Friday. There have been comedies where people’s bodies have switched, but there haven’t been horror movies where their bodies switch. Millie also switches bodies with a serial killer. It makes it original that she would change places with a serial killer. Millie goes from an average teen to a vixen. The guys ignored her before the transformation. They want to be with her once she changes her personality.
# 2 – Something New
The romantic comedy stars Sanaa Lathan, Simon Baker and Blair Underwood. The romantic comedy is about a successful black woman named Kenya (Sanaa Lathan) who is set up on a blind date with Brian (Simon Baker). She wants to back out of the date when she finds out that he is white. She ends up meeting him again when she needs a landscaper for her house.
She hires him for the job, but they don’t get along with each other. She is an uptight woman, and he is a free-spirited man. They eventually fall in love and date each other despite their differences. Everyone in Kenya’s life is not thrilled about her decision to date Brian. Their differences come between them, and their relationship turns sour. She ends up dating Marcus (Blair Underwood). She has more in common with him than she does with Brian. Kenya has to choose between her ideal man and the man of her dreams.
The movie explores an interracial relationship. They are also from different backgrounds. There is nothing unusual about the interracial relationship, but the writers manage to make it appear fresh and new. The writers made her have a triangle with two good men. In movies like this, one of the guys would have been written as the bad one. It was a great touch to have Kenya have a dilemma on her hands. Sanaa Lathan has chemistry with Simon Baker and Blair Underwood. It would have been a good choice no matter which one she chose.

The number one movie on our 10 Best Movies On Cinemax is Fatale. The movie stars Hilary Swank, Michael Ealy, Damaris Lewis and Mike Colter. The thriller is about a married man named Derrick (Michael Ealy) who has a one-night stand with a detective named Valerie (Hilary Swank) who turns his world upside down. He thinks that he has seen the last of her until his house gets robbed. She turns out to be the detective on the case. She wasn’t happy to find out that he was married. Once she sees him again, she refuses to leave him alone. She uses any excuse in order to see him. She helps him discover a secret that his wife is keeping from him.
This movie is like a fatal attraction. He ends up having an affair that he later regrets. The writers came up with an original idea because there aren’t too many movies where the cop is obsessed with the person, she has an affair with. The movie isn’t just about the affair. Valerie is dealing with her alcoholism as well as a custody battle. Derrick has to deal with his wife’s secret. There is a lot of steamy plots going on in the movie. The movie is a recipe for a fantastic drama.
