Arizona is a great state that is home to more than 7 million. It’s also known as the Grand Canyon State and hosts wonderful cities like Glendale, Tucson, and Phoenix. It has a booming tourism industry and there are plenty of things that you can enjoy if you plan a vacation to see Arizona. The official state flower is the saguaro cactus blossom and it is the one state that leads the entire country in copper production. The Sonoran Desert is the only place where the saguaro cactus grows in the entire world. There are dozens of state parks here to enjoy and plenty of natural areas that have preserved the beautiful culture and natural landscapes of the region. Here are 10 places to consider visiting.
# 10 – Chase Field

Chase Field is the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. It s one of the most spectacular baseball stadiums in Major League Baseball. It is both an open air stadium and an enclosed stadium as the stadium hosts a retractable roof for those just too hot Arizona summer days. The stadium also hits a swimming pool in right field available to groups who want to recent the pool during games. All it takes is a group of 35 people and a 3500 fee that does not include the game tickets. But for the rest of us, Chase Stadium is a great place to escape the Phoenix heat. The stadium is located in Downtown Phoenix.
# 9 – Grand Canyon National Park
If you are looking for a day trip outside of Phoenix and want to see a great place then make it the Grand Canyon. The beautiful national park that is known as Grand Canyon is a special region located in northwestern Arizona. This is one of the most beautiful places that you could see in the world. You get to see the canyon, the Colorado River gorge, and it is considered one of the true wonders of the world. Get your camera ready because this is a great place for taking pictures.
# 8 – Phoenix Zoo
The Phoenix Zoo is a fantastic option if you want some place to take the kids while on your trip to Phoenix. They will love seeing all of the animals at the zoo. There are over 1,400 animals here at the Phoenix Zoo which is a private, non-profit organization. It spans over 125 acres and is the perfect place to consider if you want something to do and see in Phoenix that is going to be family friendly for your group.

If you are interested in music then make time to visit the Musical Instrument Museum. This is a wonderful museum that offers a rich history to learn about music in general and a variety of instruments. There are thousands of different instruments here at the Musical Instrument Museum. Those instruments are coming from hundreds of different regions. A trip here would be a great learning experience.

The Phoenix Art Museum is a beautiful museum to visit in Phoenix that offers thousands of different works to see. The Phoenix Art Museum is the largest that you can find for visual art in the southwest United States. There are collections from Latin America, Europe, Asia, and more. Once they are back to normal operating hours, after the COVID-19 economic shutdown, then a visit to Phoenix wouldn’t be complete without a visit here for any true art lover.
# 5 – Saguaro National Park
Looking to have fun at a national park in the region? Arizona has plenty of them to see. Pack your bags, water, some snacks, and head out to Saguaro National Park for a day trip. Only a 1 hour drive away from the Phoenix region. This would be a great family-friendly area to take the kids or go with friends and loved ones. This is a beautiful 92,000 acre park that offers many things to see. Get your camera ready because you will want to take pictures of the stunning scenery here.
# 4 – Grand Canyon Skywalk
If you are going to visit the Grand Canyon then make sure to head over to the new Grand Canyon Skywalk. This is a perfect viewing area that has been set up for tourists to the region. You can walk around the horseshoe-shaped bridge that offers great views, made with a glass walkway. The Grand Canyon Skywalk gives a unique perspective of the area, a great vantage point for taking pictures. This is one place that won’t take all day to enjoy so you can make your way to other areas in the region that you might like to also see. If you are going to be heading to the Grand Canyon anyways then head over to the Skywalk as well so that you can get this unique view.
# 3 – Desert Botanical Garden
If you love gardens then you will love the Desert Botanical Garden. This is a top spot to consider viewing if you are going to be traveling around the Arizona region. The Desert Botanical Garden is a unique garden that measures about 140 acres. You will find a variety of amazing plants that you have not seen before. This Desert Botanical Garden hosts thousands of plants, roughly 50,000 or more. Many of them are rare or endangered. If you want to see something spectacular, Desert Botanical Garden will have it for you.
# 2 – Oak Creek Canyon
Are you looking to see some truly beautiful Arizona sights? Then one place that must make consideration for viewing is Oak Creek Canyon. This would be roughly a 2 hour drive from Phoenix but this place has got great views for you. This is a wonderful location to plan an afternoon trip with the family. In the northern region of Arizona, between Sedona and Flagstaff, you can find the Oak Creek Canyon. This is a smaller sight to see than the Grand Canyon of course but it is just as beautiful. If you want to see spectacular outdoor views then Oak Creek Canyon should make the top of your list.
# 1 – Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix
The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix is a beautiful location that you can visit which hosts a variety of plants. This is a 3.5 acre garden space where you can also find a tea house and tea garden. It might not be the biggest garden space to see in the region but it sure does have character. If you are looking for something unique, new, and fun, then this might be it.
