This restaurant has large tables perfect if you wanted to purchase multiple entrees or add appetizers and sides to your entree. The dining area has a large space that will fit these big tables. One thing they have in this restaurant that you haven’t seen before is a chalkboard on the walls. It will have different kinds of meats, and the staff will constantly update it to keep you informed on what they are sold out of, what they are running low of, and if they have enough to feed everyone. This is a great way to encourage customers to read the chalkboard before they order. If they have a ton of food, the staff will color code the meat green. If they are running low on certain kinds of meats, the color code would be blue. If they are sold out of your favorite meat, you will know by the red mark next to the item. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and you may have noticed an outdoor patio as you walked in. It has some shade and you can hear the birds chirping while you eat and relax.
At this restaurant, you can order some simple BBQ plates with fun names for each one. One of the plates is called the Carolina Pork. You can move your wheelchair up the ramp in front of the restaurant to bypass the stairs and enter the dining area. This restaurant is decorated beautifully for the holidays. You may find some garlands outside and inside the restaurant and Christmas lights hanging outside and inside as well. Other than the holidays, this restaurant is made for people that are looking to dine in a casual atmosphere. There are two sections to the dining area. If you are a sports fan and would like to eat your meal while watching sports, go to the section where the televisions are surrounding you. If you’re looking for conversation and enjoy the people you’re with, then head away from that area and go to the other dining section.
The first thing you may notice on the menu is that the chef prepares a different lunch special each day of the week. For example, Mondays are the day for meatloaf. With your meatloaf, you can choose two sides that will pair well together. This special and all the other lunch specials are only available to you during the week, and the chef will stop preparing lunch specials at around 2. If you’re looking for a quick BBQ fix, the sandwiches are your best bet. The McKoy’s BBQ sandwich comes with pulled pork that has been cooked in their smoker. You may want to check it out before you head inside. If the inside is just as nice as the outside is, then you’re in for a special treat. As you walk inside, you’re faced with a casual atmosphere. You will notice once you walk in that they have their beer specials hung up on the hostess stand. You can either take a picture of it now so you can look at it while you’re sitting at your table or you can keep coming back over and over to check out the deals. All the tables have high bar stool-type chairs except for the booths. That’s great to know for future visits in case you’re bringing small children with you to the restaurant.

They have a nice, gated patio out back so it’s safe to bring small children out there. It’s also covered so that’s a plus when it gets too cold or too hot. Lights are hanging up on the ceiling of the patio, which is on all the time so you can enjoy your meal outside after dark if you choose to.
One entree off the BAR-B-Q section on the menu is everyone’s favorite dish, chicken. You can order 1/4 of a chicken or for a little more money, you can order a half of a chicken. The chicken has been cooked in their smoker so it’s fresh and juicy by the time it reaches your table. If you choose to order the 1/4 chicken, you will receive a leg and a thigh. You can substitute a wing and a breast for an additional charge if you want. Another dish in this section is the pulled pork meal. You will receive four of them on your plate, but they’re big so the wings equal to about 8 wings. The wings are cooked in their fryer and you can add your favorite BBQ sauce to give it some extra flavor, but the wings are already seasoned well. Another option you can choose is their sampler option. If you’re having trouble deciding which main meal you would like to order, then this is the best option for you. You will get a little bit of brisket, pork, and ribs. Next time you visit you will know what to order.
